We have given french artist Stéphane Couturier carte blanche, for this edition of Favoris Europe.

His professional career germinated through his collaboration with architects, such as Jean Nouvel and Christian de Portzamparc, whose work he photographed.
Deeply inspired by the subject of architecture, he created the photographic agency Archipress in 1988.
In the 90's, he developed a body of personal work, around the subject of Urban Archeology, the link between past, present and futur of urban architecture arises like a living organism.

The images reproduced on this edition, belong to Stéphane Couturier's new series titled, Chandigarh Replay. Each Image is a superimposition of two photographs taken in Chandigarh, India, a city where much of the architecture and planning was inspired and conceived by Le Corbusier.

Buildings, frontages, fabrics, frescoes, ordinary objects... which thanks to Stéphane Couturier's layered aesthetic vision.

The images reproduced on this edition, belong to Stéphan Couturier's new series titled, CHANDIGARH REPLAY. Each image is a superimposition of two photographs taken in Chandigarh, India, a city where much of the architecture and planning was inspired and conceived by Le Corbusier.

Buildings, frontages, fabrics, frescoes, ordinary objects… which, thanks to {{Stéphane Couturier's layered aesthetic vision, formulates evolutionary theories of what the future could hold in the city of Chandigarh.

The work of Stéphane Couturier is featured in many museums and contemporary art centers. He is represented by the Paris Gallery Polaris.
