From September 7th next, Joep Van Lieshout is displaying his Furnification collection in the Paris venue. Van Lieshout latest collection is intended to be a test for objects that appear to be indestructible. Items such as gas cylinders and fire extinguishers are placed in a vulnerable position against the uncontrollable power of hydraulic pistons.

À l’occasion des 40 ans du Centre Pompidou, le Studio GGSV, composé du duo de designers, Gaëlle Gabillet et Stéphane Villard, a imaginé une manifestation inédite. Ils ont conçu « Galerie Party » comme une fiction, une histoire en trois actes.

Pour ce deuxième épisode, le célèbre artiste chinois Liu Bolin, surnommé « L’Homme invisible », vient se dissimuler dans l’exposition. Reprenant ce principe de camouflage, le Studio GGSV imagine un jeu de déguisement ils choisissent dans l’espace scénographique le lieu où disparaitre !

Le 9 septembre Liu Bolin débutera sa performance à 10h.

[red]Gallery S. Bensimon[/red] will showcase Fuoco by Italian designer Roberto Sironi, a project that combines nature, design and art.

In this work Roberto Sironi has sought out the remains of burnt trees to reflect on the intrinsic value of the entropic process that models matter according to the laws of nature. The Fuoco collection was born from the collaboration between two prestigious art and design venues: the Gallery S. Bensimon in Paris and the historical artistic foundry Fonderia Artistica Battaglia in Milan.

One year after its opening in the Haut-Marais neighborhood of Paris, the 600 sqm concept-store dedicated to sensitive, emotionally-charged objects launches workshops for the first time, a marketplace, and presents 900 new creations and 160 new craftspeople. The workshops are great opportunities to learn how screen-print on textiles and paper. Participants will make their own posters, bags, hand towels, etc. on Saturday September 9 and 16 and Sunday September 10 from 3pm to 6pm.
