Upon resigning as director of the Dessau Bauhaus in early 1928, Walter Gropius decided to fulfil a long-held dream.
Organized in cooperation with the Bergische Universität Wuppertal, the exhibition is being shown in conjunction with the International Month of Photography.

The exhibition on the Bauhaus-trained architect Munio Weinraub (1909-1970) and his son, the internationally acclaimed director Amos Gitai (born 1950), presents a protagonist of New Building in Israel and a critical filmmaker and chronicler of his country.

In 2008, the American designer George Nelson (1908-1986) would have been 100 years old. In recognition of this centennial anniversary, the Vitra Design Museum is planning the first comprehensive retrospective on his work. Trained as an architect with a degree from Yale, Nelson was one of the defining figures of American design in the latter half of the 20th century.
