Kobayashi says : "Since I was a kid, I was happy as long as I had a pen and a piece of paper."

On a blank piece paper, he swiftly draws, almost in one stroke, the designs that have developed in his mind. "I am not a designer. Rather, I always want to be considered an artisan." In the founding days, Kobayashi led his team by designing, creating and even marketing accessories himself. We create through inspiration that comes from the raw materials themselves. That has been his unchanging point of origin.

ADMJ's work begins with raw materials -leather,metal, cloth,etc. To provide a sumptuous meal at a restaurant, a cook must select his/her own raw materials. Likewise, Kobayashi, the designer, not only imports the latest Italian leather of his choice but also develops original materials and colors with Japanese tanners. Furthermore, various metal parts have been created in Tokyo by polishing brass with original logos and themes embossed.

In 2006, our line of work with hand-sewn Swarovski Crystals was well received around the world including Austria where Swarovski headquarters are located. We are honored to have received official Swarovski certification for our bags that feature their Crystals. All of our work begins with selecting or developing the best raw materials.

We value our daily communication with our artisan partners. ADMJ production takes place in Tokyo where our head office is located. Our mission is to "export" from Tokyo the latest technology such as work done by rare computerized sewing machines and the best raw materials from all over the world.
