Esther Leiva Ruiz was born in 1980 in the city of Linares, in the southern province of Jaen, Spain. A 2004 graduate from the Fine Arts Faculty in Seville, she specialized in Engraving and Graphic Design. During her university years, she developed her artistic focus based on aesthetics and its various representations, such as drawing, painting, sculpting, photography, etc. Her family has a long tradition in tailoring that later evolved into the family business and passion: fine leather belts.
Esther joined Leyva, founded by her father
Antonio Leiva, and along his side continued her career in the world of fashion, designing high quality belts. Her arrival to the company was a decisive factor in the development of the new line of belts for women, which distil style and personality.
In 2007, she launched her first collection of Handbags for Leyva Women. Furthermore, her love for photography has led her to direct various photographic projects for the firm and develop a series of catalogues for different collections both for Men and Women.
