The exhibition is a joint project of Expocentre and BolognaFiere, Italy. It enjoys official support from the National Association of Italian Footwear Manufacturers (ANCI) and the auspices of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The Obuv.Mir Kozhi Exhibition is an important international event that exerts a profound influence on the Russian market of shoes and leather products.
It proudly carries the labels of quality of UFI, the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry, and RUEF, the Russian Union of Exhibitions and Fairs.
For over 10 years, twice a year Obuv.Mir Kozhi has brought together the world’s leading manufacturers of shoes and leather products at Expocentre Fairgrounds. Every year the exhibition grows in numbers. The spring edition of 2008 welcomed about 400 companies from 12 countries: Austria, France, Greece, Italy, Latvia, Macedonia, Mexico, the Netherlands, Portugal, Russia, Spain and Turkey. Companies from Italy and Spain enjoyed their respective countries’ state support.
The Italian Exposition was traditionally the largest. About 270 companies from this country demonstrated their products.
Shoes from Italy – March’ 2008 preceded the spring edition of the exhibition. Shoes from Italy welcomed 87 Italian companies that received a great number of orders Russian clients.
The Obuv.Mir Kozhi International Exhibition is an influential event in the Russian industry of shoes and leather products. Representatives of wholesale companies and trade houses help to promote goods in various Russian regions. The number of visits to the spring edition of Obuv.Mir Kozhi’2008 made up 12 700, which is 33% more than what was registered during the previous fall edition. The exposition space grew 11%, which is a record number since 1981, 8 025 sqm. The number of professional visitors from Russian regions and the CIS has also increased in 18%, which made up 5 090 people (72% of the total number of visitors, 7 070 people).
The work at the exhibition resulted in contracts for shoes and leather products from such well-known companies as Pakerson, Trend, Stone Haven, Nebuloni, Baldinini, Dino Bigioni, Pareo, Fabi, Lori Blu, Mario Cerutti, Nouchka, Alberto Gozzi, Mario Bruni, Marino Fabiani, Fratelli Rossetti, Maros, Alima, Jocomomola, Barrats 1890, Joika, Nobel, Good Man, Enzo Logana, Ricima, Gode, Pola, Top Line, Marianelli and many others.
