Senken Shimbun Co., Ltd. started a fashion exhibition “TERROIR” concurrently held with JFW- IFF in July 2007. In TERROIR, brands with high quality collections that have not been introduced to Japan and that have passed a thorough examination are gathered for participation mainly from Europe and from all over the world. Over the past three-times, TERROIR has successfully attracted around 80 brands to the exhibition.
TERROIR, the delicate conditions of climate and nature, Wine making has a great effect on the characteristics of wine through both a brewer's skill and two factors around a vineyard: climate such as atmospheric temperature, humidity and sunshine, and elements such as terrain, soil and water.
A fashion exhibition, "TERROIR" is for imported brands, having a variety of characteristics influenced by "region", "culture", "customs", "nature", and "people" being on the background of fashion to be created.
"TERROIR" is gathering selected brands only, which are recognized their values, or possibilities, in the Japanese fashion market.
"TERROIR" is introduced is an exhibition which only imported brands valuable for the Japanese fashion market are selected to join.
Our aims are to make this exhibition success by bringing leading exhibitors and influential buyers to post the image of highest quality in Asia, and to turn it out to lead the best business result by hosting the place of productive business meetings.
"TERROIR" will make its debut in a hall next to IFF, which sees its 16th edition with the proven performances to attract visitors.
