Rough raw edges inspired from analogue film borders are interpreted by rip- ped and fraying edges. Silver plate mirror-like surfaces, are the inspiration for foil printed gar- ments. Tension between fluid and structured pieces Sharp clean dissected cuts, realigned and butting up or overlapping. Spli- cing the key word. Disarrayed and falling apart, pendulum ties add movement to unravelling sleeves. Versatile and adjustable, transformable pieces with detachable sleeves and collars. The paradox of treating luxurious materials badly, ripped with raw edges and dangling loose threads, vigorously washing and over dyeing high quality ma- terials to render them unpretentious. Dissected reassembled erratic stripes, shiny and opaque or transparent and solid are cut and displaced for a new vision of patch working. Flowing liquid silks create tension between fluid and structured pieces. Hand dyed dense hessian and crumpled linens get the couture treatment which contrast with fresh and crisp fraying cottons. Patterned mesh net is used for transparent tattooed t shirt effects. Blistered double layer silk fabric is interpreted in luxury day wear sta- ples, oversize hoodies and baggy sweat pants. Feather weight buoyant nylon is lined in cotton mesh for weightless summer anoraks.
