Lille 2004 gives an important place to the world of fashion which represents more than an important sector of the economy of our Euroregion. Several events are linked: the Phare Textile cycle dedicated to the celebration of textile culture in Roubaix, with the production by new designers and industrialists of new textiles, an exhibition in Calais, Dress / Dream: dreams of dresses that will present haute couture dresses and creations from the permanent collection of the Museum of Fine Arts and Lace, another exhibition at Fourmies-Treslon devoted to new textiles, and a tribute to Matisse, “Matisse and the color of fabrics “with the presentation of the collection of fabrics constituted by Matisse, northern painter and born of a family of weavers ’.
