At a young age he was fascinated by photography, particularly by the works of Man Ray, Weegee and Swiss photographer Gottard Schuh. His career as a professional photographer began with the Ungaro campaign. After Ungaro and Chloé , his work for the most prestigious fashion houses appears regularly in the most important fashion magazines. He also produces portraits of international celebrities. Despite his success and notoriety in the world of fashion and advertising, Michel Comte has never lost his interest in the humanitarian cause and the problems related to the environment. He collaborates with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), of which he is the sponsor. He created The Michel Comte Shared Waters Foundation , whose vocation is to contribute to the purification of water in underdeveloped countries.
