De Lucchi considers Air and Time as the most precious elements available to man, but also as those which he has most damaged and spoiled. Hence the need to recover them to regenerate them and transform them into sensory and spiritual values, so that they are in harmony with the need to improve the collective vital environment. In the period of radical and experimental architecture (1970s) Michele De Luc- chi was one of the protagonists of movements such as Cavart, Alchimia and Menphis . In his professional career, he has produced several products for Artemide, Dada Cucine, Kartell, Matsushita, Mauser, Poltrona Frau and Olivetti . He developed various theories concerning the evolution of the work environment and experimental projects for Compaq Computers, Philips, Siemens and Vitra . He has also designed public and private buildings and museum projects in Japan, Germany and Italy. Michele De Lucchi continues to develop permanent research on the themes of design, technology and craftsmanship. In 1990, he founded Produzione Privata, a small company in which he designs products made from techniques and handicrafts. During his career, he has received numerous awards and honors. Numerous are also the museums which have exposed its projects and its works.
