Women’s fragrance

Saturday, March 5th, Salon France-Amériques

Top model Isabeli Fontana, editor of Jalou editions (L’Officiel, Jalouse, …)Marie-Josée Susskind, the editors-in-chief of Numéro and Harper’s Bazaar Babeth Djian and Glenda Bailey … beautiful people converged at the Cesare Paciotti show held at the new fashion spot to be, a 19th-century Parisian “hôtel particulier”. The brand’s intention was to reach the VIP’s of fashion, as well as the international press by showing the collection in Paris rather than at Micam in Milan (the sales were still held in their showroom). This unique event created a buzz: Cesare Paciotti showed his footwear collection and introduced « Essence », his new unisex fragrance. The launch of his perfume was probably the reason for such a strategy (rather than showing in a potentially saturated Italian market).

The press release stated: «‘Perfume and heels’ is a perfect description of the Cesare Paciotti woman». With lots of leather, lace, Swarovski crystals, animal themes – python, leopard skin, zebra… the designer is pursuing his quest for the sexy and glamorous beauty ideal that matches the dark, heady scent of “tuberose” - the primary note in his fragrance. The Cesare Paciotti woman wants to be fatal, just like the famous red shoe sole decorated with a lace print and an elegant dagger, which is the emblem of this brand. Cesare Paciotti remains a family business. Traditions, know-how, Italian femininity… It would be a relatively boring collection if Cesare Paciotti did not add his wild, finishing touches that every shoemaker needs to create fetish models. This season, Cesare Paciotti found his inspiration in the 70’s and the hippie chic style of Bianca Jagger, the first wife of the Rolling Stones’ lead singer.
