JAPAN / Tokyo: Yoshiyuki Miyamae takes over ISSEY MIYAKE Women

As from the 2012 Spring/Summer season, the designer will run the design team of the brand's women collections.

Yoshiyuki Miyamae entered Issey Miyake in 2001 in order to develop the A-POC collection in collaboration with Issey Miyake and Dai Fujiwara. Thanks to this in-depth design and clothing art experience, he entered the design department of Issey Miyake Women in 2006, run till now by Dai Fujiawara he is now taking over from.

He will show his first collection in October 2011 in Paris, sticking to the brand's principles of ongoing research and innovation.

Regarding the brand's men collection, it will be called ISSEY MIYAKE MEN as from the 2012 Spring/Summer season. A team of young talents - helped by experienced designers - will run it.
