ra’s latest edition takes place in Paris and brings together 12 contributors from across the world, each working in different creative disciplines.

Feeling a kinship with the different facets of renegades, outsiders and pioneers, ra has organised an “electrifying interaction between art, fashion, music and performance”, exhibiting the filter that each of these artists sees his or her world through. The exhibition and showroom push new talent and typify ra and its penchant for merging different art forms. This season sees offerings from 12 international contributors working with clothes, accessories, photographs and instruments. What the dozen individuals share is a boldness which encourages them to challenge their creative limits.

Estelle Skrodzki will take over ra’s basement space with her mix of installation and craft work, entitled “Cabinet des curiosités”, which questions the relationship between man and object. Camille Pajot’s contribution will be much of a continuation of his work exhibited at the Antwerp gallery in May and June of 2011. Romain Trinquand will offer what he explains is “about fabrics, sewing, animals, accident, catastrophe, funny and strange, cute and freaky, dumb and cruel, fairy tales and anatomic books”, while Parisian menswear designer, Romain Brau, will exhibit his costume work. The designer-duo, Butterfly Soulfire, along with Cedric Jaquemyn, Haik, Harald Lunde Helgesen and Shaun Samson will show off Spring/Summer 2011 menswear collections. The showroom will also offer visitors the chance to see photography work from Erika Rodin, alongside Elise Gettliffe’s designs, which will be accompanied by a video of her performance work in Vienna in May, and a collective project from Jerome Walter Gueguen, Alberto Gemmi and Mirco Marmirolo.

Two fashion students from La Cambre art school will also have the chance to exhibit at the showroom, which will run from the 24th to the 27th June at 14, rue de la Corderie in Paris.
