It's a first: from the 3rd to the 6th of September 2011, the Prêt à Porter Paris tradeshow welcomes 8 designers, for the first time, who will show and be presented as part of Alexandra Senes' Trendswash, who asked them a few questions.

I believe all colors can look good if used properly and with balance.

Little black dress, a fitted white cotton shirt and a pair of killer black heels

Out of Africa; too many to mention, i live for music

Vintage YSL aviators and my iPhone

What three words would define you?
Artistic, funny, sensitive
What is the most excentric thing that you have done?
I dyed my hair pink once.

Elegance to me is Intelligence with sophistication
What is your main source of inspiration ?
Indigenous textiles done in a modern fashion

To aim and to achieve.

The corset-free sexy black dresses that Chanel designed in her early years as a fashion designer.

Shocking barbie pink.

A White cotton over-sized shirt dress. Skinny Pants. A gold dress.

How would you define elegance ?
Elegance is to carry oneself through all spheres of life with dignity.
What is your main source of inspiration?
The richness of different cultures of the world

What three words would define you?
Unconventional, creative, dreamer
Who, man and woman, would you dream of styling?
Grace Kelly but she is dead. So I can only dream styling her. Maybe Queen Rania... I would love to see Karl Lagerfeld in a black rock and roll sherwani.
What is your mantra?
My mantra is ' being the king of self' by believing in what you do and do it right.




Zaheer ABBAS
What is your main source of inspiration?
The fall of the fabric.
Which piece would you have loved to create?
Cape.
What do you always carry with you?
My hair gel.
Who and where will you be in 30 years from now?
I take things the way they come to me, I prefer tactics over strategy.
