From 24th to 27th Jnauary 2012, Barcelona hosts the first-ever Spanish
edition of A Shaded View on Fashion Film (ASVOFF),created by visionary Diane Pernet.

Diane Pernet, founder of the groundbreaking festival, has announced several developments that are about to shake up the fashion film genre – and take ASVOFF’s next host-city by storm.

‘ASVOFF Barcelona’ (www.asvoff.es) will be held at the CaixaForum Barcelona from January 24 – 27, exploring the themes of fashion, style and beauty through the medium of the moving image. ASVOFF’s ambassador, Rossy de Palma, the legendary Spanish actress, will be the master of ceremonies on the 25th.

TUESDAY 24TH JANUARY
AUDITORIUM

4.00pm – 5.00pm. OFFICIAL section in competition (part 1)
5.00pm – 6.35pm. Documentaries (part 1). Selection by Diane Pernet.
6.45pm – 8.15pm. Narraciones. Carte Blanche to Charo Mora.
8.30pm – 10.30pm. Best of ASVOFF (part 1). A selection of the best films from ASVOFF Paris, Milan, Tokyo and Mexico.

WEDNESDAY 25TH JANUARY
AUDITORIUM

4.00pm – 5.00pm. OFFICIAL section in competition (part 1)
5.10pm – 7.00pm. OFFICIAL section in competition (part 2&3)
7.30pm – 8.30pm. ASVOFF Barcelona awards ceremony (invitation only).

THURSDAY 26TH JANUARY

6.00pm – 7.00pm. Les mains d’Hermès. Voyage to the heart of the workshops.
7.00 – 8.00pm. Shell Game: Postmodern Fashion. Lecture by Glenn Adamson, Head of Research, Victoria&Albert Museum.
5.10pm – 7.00pm. OFFICIAL section in competition (part 2 & 3)
7.00pm – 7.30pm. ASVOFF Barcelona Award Winning Films 2012.

FRIDAY 27TH JANUARY
AUDITORIUM

4.00pm – 5.30pm. Documentaries (part 2).
5.30pm – 6.15pm. Feminist Fashion Film Now! Curated by Alex Murray-Leslie and Melissa Logan.
6.30pm – 7.30pm. The murder of Jean Seberg by Joseph Lally.
7.45pm – 8.15pm. Mobile bloggers take the stage with Diane Pernet and Lorea Iglesias (indépendant curator for Mobile Art).
8.30pm – 9.30pm. Vision/Visionnaires. Lecture and screening by Linda Loppa (Polimoda International Institute).
