A Collective Showroom for Berlin-based designers

Berlin Showroom is a joint project initiated by the regional initiative Projekt Zukunft/Berlin’s Senate Department for Economics, Technology and Research and realized by International Design Center Berlin (IDZ) in cooperation with Arne Eberle press+sales and Projekt Zukunft.

After a successful presence in Paris this past spring, the second edition of the showroom took place from September 28th to October 1st during PFW. Accredited press members and buyers had the chance to see the latest S/S 14 collections of an exclusive selection of Berlin’s best fashion designers.

The showroom’s new location was in the heart of the Marais district showcasing the Womenswear items of 23 labels on two floors. This strategic choice boosted the event with a unique backdrop and lent the presentation a traditional Parisian gallery flair.

National and international press, buyers and key industry professionals were amongst the 600 visitors. At 35%, the Asian market accounted for the largest portion of buyers, meanwhile Japanese buyers accounted for 24% of all buyers and buyers from German speaking countries accounted for 20%. These numbers underpin the increase of visiting buyers and the successful organization of this project.
