This saturday evening, May 16th, 2015, over 3,400 museums will open their doors at night to celebrate the 11th edition of The European Night of Museums.

Since 2011, the The Night of Museums aims to promote the artistic heritage of European metropoles by providing free access to several cultural institutions, which are exceptionally open until midnight. The public will experience a great selection of artworks in an unusual and playful context, often enriched by cultural activities and performances which contribute to this one-of-a-kind initiative. In this context, visitors will discover and rediscover the beauty and diversity of the most famous art collections, as well as the newest art foundations.

The European Night of Museums celebrates curiosity and passion for art. It is also an event that brings a message of unity, intelligence and peace across the European Union. From London and Paris, over to Moscow, Rome, Marseille, Bucharest and Madrid… on this occasion thousands of Europeans will get back in touch with their culture-loving self.
