Honest by just announced the launch of the 'DOWNLOAD EP01' Collection (EP stands for Easy Print), which consists of 9 designs that can be purchased and downloaded online by the customer and printed out on a 3D home printer. The Antwerp-based brand founded by Bruno Pieters is hereby the first fashion brand in history to offer a collection of downloadable designs. 



The collection was created in collaboration with Comme Des Machines, a so-called future fashion advisory based in Bilbao, Spain. Since 2014, the team behind Comme Des Machines, namely Aran Azkarate, Andrés Iglesias, Jon Mikel Azkarate and Suso Kinki, have been offering 3D printed biodegradable design solutions such as buttons, buckles, sequins, labels, etc, in order to create a platform where fashion and technology evolve together. In an interview with Bruno Pieters, the quatuor stated that 3D printing has the potential to create a more sustainable industry. "It empowers people. 3D printing is absolutely revolutionary. A digital future is unavoidable," they told Pieters. "The distance between the creator, producer and consumer is now shortened because of 3D printing. We are able to produce a personalized service without any minimum order quantity. This cutting edge technology is efficient and creative.
