Circle your calendars: if you happen to be in Brazil, the 2015 edition of ArtRio will definitely make for a worth-seeing event that should be on the top of your weekend schedule. Last year, the 4th edition of the fair welcomed 52,000 visitors to view works shown by 106 galleries in 20,000 square meters of space in warehouses 1, 2, 3, and 4 at Pier Mauá, and this season the fair intends to go beyond last

The exhibitions at ArtRio are divided into four programs – Panorama, Vista and Prisma — with works from reputed Brazilian art galleries, such as Fortes Vilaça, Luisa Strina and Anita Schwartz, as well as international galleries including White Cube and David Zwirner. In this sense, the organizers of event, Brenda Valansi, Elisangela Valadares and Luiz Calainho, aim to promote the Brazilian art scene by supporting established and new artists and galleries, as well as exhibitions and study opportunities, while creating an artistic legacy for the Brazilian people who, eager consumers of art and culture, visit the fair in large numbers.

Please consult Art Rio’s website to see the full list of participating galleries and artists.
