Dimitri Hegemann, founder of legendary club Tresor is planning the opening of a museum dedicated to Berlin’s history of techno music. Since the late 80s, the German capital has established itself as the world’s leading scene for electronic music. Named the Living Archive of Electronica, the museum is set to open in Fall 2016 — a timing which coincides with Tresor’s 25th birthday. Another museum devoted to electronic music, The Museum of Modern Electronic Music, or MOMEM, will launch in 2017 in Frankfurt and will showcase the history of electronic music as well as art, in addition to graphic design, wearables and instrument tech.
