The Museo del Tessuto located in Prato, Tuscany, is celebrating its 40th anniversary with a new temporary exhibition titled “Heritage. Stories of fabrics and fashion“, which will run through April 30th, 2016.

The exclusive showcase features a rich archive of textiles, clothing, accessories, books and newspaper that the museum has been collecting for the past 40 years. Curated by Daniela Degl’Innocenti, Heritage invites visitors to a journey through time spanning from the 16th Century to the 1960s. The exhibition is displayed in seven sections, each dedicated to a different era. On the occasion of the museum’s anniversary, Francesco Marini, director of the Museo del Tessuto, announced a more dynamic exhibition program, which will involve contemporary fashion.
