Fashion Show - Monday February 29, 2016 at The Mall

A romantic tale recalling the pages of Paulo Coelho’s Brida which describes a woman’s pursuit of spirituality. The Sicilian-born designer, Salvatore Piccione, made his Milanese debut on the catwalk and presented his Piccione.Piccione collection for fall/winter 2016. ‘Amor vincit omnia’ is the season guide line, the sentence taken from Virgil’s Bucolica among chromes, doll clothes and romantic motifs in contrast to rigorous jackets, coats and trousers with masculine cut. Embroideries and 3D patterns create funny graphic design.

After graduating from IED (European Design Institute) in Rome, Salvatore Piccione won Vogue Italia’s talent contest “Who is on Next?” in 2014. He showed at AltaRoma and was the special guest at White Milan in February. He launched a limited edition with the italian tissues brand Tempo for a paper handkerchief box with Vogue. He designed a Barbie doll for the Global Beauty project and also boasts noteworthy collaborations with Swarovski, Longchamp, Top Shop and Celine. His style paid tribute to femininity and seduction with a playful of graphics and colours.

Lace inserts, impalpable tulle and light silks contrast well with wool and tweed. All this spiced up with a colour palette including vivid tones of red, pink and touches of black. Piccione.Piccione collection is a triumph of sweetness, handmade ornaments on shirtdresses, marking clean and sophisticated silhouettes.
