Next November 8, the expert Christophe Goeury and the photography department of the [size=14][red]Millon[/red][/size]’s auction house will open the archives of the [size=14][red]Studio Séeberger[/red][/size], made by two generations of photographer brothers, fashion photography pioneers by 1909 until the late 70’s. Nearly 4,000 photographs tracing the history of fashion, hitherto kept in the family and never auctioned will be scattered during this vacation.

These photographs are either vintage prints "tirage d’époque" or contemporary prints made and supervised by [red]Albert Séeberger[/red] or his studio. This is a unique opportunity to acquire photographs by these two generations of photographers since the negatives were given by the photographers and the family to several French institutions at the closing of the Séeberger's studio in 1977.

This includes but is not limited to: fashion throughout the entire 20th century from hats, accessories, designer workshops, portraits, runway shows, photo shoots in the studio and outdoors, publicities, horseraces, and photographs of designs by the likes of Yves Saint Laurent, Christian Dior, Hermès, Nina Ricci, Jacques Fath, Balmain, Balenciaga, Louis Vuitton and many more… including also representations of personalities, the war, Paris, France and various regions… as well as an elaboration on diverse photographic techniques as they developed throughout the century.
