ITALY / Florence: Pitti Italics, Carlo Volpi, Lucio Vanotti & Sansovino 6

Promoting and supporting upcoming talents that design and produce in Italy. This is the aim of Pitti Italics, the program of Fondazione Pitti Immagine Discovery, which for next edition of the Florentine kermesse, scheduled from the 10th to 13th of January 2017, enlists Carlo Volpi, Lucio Vanotti and Sansovino 6.

Carlo Volpi, tuscan designer based in London and the winner of the competition Who is on next? Man 2016 for the ready-to-wear of his eponymous brand of unisex knitwear launched in 2014.

Lucio Vanotti from Bergamo, graduated at the Istituto Marangoni in Milan was among the finalists of Who is on next? Man 2012. On the occasion of the week dedicated to men’s collections in January 2016, he showed as special guest at the Armani Theater and, in February, he presented his womenswear independently during Milan fashion week. His creative interpretation is characterized by a rational and purist style.

Sansovino 6, owned by Edward Buchanan, American-and-Milanese by adoption designer, which after the performance show of the latest edition of Pitti Filati, back among the protagonists of the Tuscan fair for featuring on the catwalk his own menswear line.

Great attention is also directed to Asian markets. From Japan, thanks to the partnership with Japan Fashion Week Organization, it will come Sulvam, brand founded by Teppei Fujita, who won the Tokyo Fashion Award in 2014 and was among the winners of Who is on next? Dubai the following year. The Nipponese brand will be the author of a fashion show at the Stazione Leopolda.
Moreover, thank to the cooperation with Kocca, a government agency supporting Korean creativity, it will be staged the avanguardiste vision of Bmuet(te) by Byungmun Seo and the masculine tailoring Ordinary People, launched by Jang Hyeong Cheol in 2011.
