[red]The Famale Gaze[/red] is dedicated to the work of female photographers featuring the female body through a non-stereotypical point of view, criticized and degraded for years, which celebrates women’s perspectives. A subversive act for a reassertion of the woman’s identity, of a different ideal of beauty and a multi-faceted femininity and the right to represent one’s body. The exhibition is a historic and thematic journey for exalting one of the most important revolutions occurred in the world of fashion photography over the last ten years. From Cindy Sherman’s iconic self-portraits to Juno Calypso’s or Arvida Byström’s humorous ones, from Camilla Akrans’ ethereal femininity to the tangible sensuality of Amanda Charchian’s women, from Ellen von Unwerth’s playful eroticism to Donna Trope’s mysterious one, up to the images of Zanele Muholi, Lalla Assia Essaydi and Namsa Leuba.

[red]PhotoVogue/inFashion[/red] is an exhibition about the photographers selected through the scouting project launched by photography platform of Vogue.it, a community dedicated to the new wave of photography talents in fashion, selected by an internationally acclaimed jury consisting of, among others, Franca Sozzani, Alessia Glaviano, Paolo Roversi, Jimmy Moffat, Florence Bourgeois (Director of Paris Photo).

The manifestation Photo Vogue Festival, first photographic festival in Italy, founded by Vogue Italia with the support of the city’s municipality, has been animated by the conversation with Vanessa Beecroft, who is the protagonist of the monographic exhibit called “Vanessa Beecroft polaroids 1993.2016” presented in the Prince’s rooms at Palazzo Reale, until 29 November. The retrospective is an exploration of the aesthetic vision of the artist focusing on a selection of women’s portraits and representing Beecroft’s return in Milan after her exhibition at Pac- padiglione d’arte contemporanea in 2009.
