Kubo graduated from the Philadelphia University’s school of Textile & Science in 2000. After a period working in New York as an assistant designer for haute couture fashion house “Robert Danes”, he came back to Japan to create his label.
He presented for the first time his spring summer 2009 collection on the occasion of Tokyo fashion week in September 2008 with a notable success.
His style is avanguardiste, modern and comfortable in a mix of technical textures, original prints and characteristic patterns. For a casual apparel characterized by elements gleaned from urban streetwear with a minimalist allure, humorous traits and an inspiration to the oriental tradition.
