Guidi presents the exhibition Art for Art’s Sake, the first art contest sponsored by the brand.

Artforartssake is the second step of a sponsorship project aimed to emerging artists started with the Insitu photo project realized by the photographer Laurent Segretier. Insitu, a photographic retrospective on Guidi, was presented in New York during September's 2015 fashion week.

Artforartssake open call was for artists working in painting, sculpture, photography, video, performance, virtual art and music. Guidi received 150 artworks from all over the world.

Artworks by 5 jury-selected artists will be projected at Kühlhaus, during Gallery Weekend Berlin, with sculptures and sound installations throughout the venue.

The judges are:

Gianni Politi, painter, artist (Italy)
Peter Sidell, teacher at the Royal College of Art London owner of the iconic store The Library (London)
Cristiano Pintaldi, artist (Italy)
Eugene Rabkin, editor of the magazine and blog StyleZeitgeist (New York)
Rita Fisher, artist (Uruguay)
Juno Mak, cult director (Hong Kong)
Ruggero Guidi

The opening party will be Friday, April 28th; from 7pm until midnight there will be a natural wine reception at Kühlhaus. A secret electronic DJ set will bring the concrete-walled warehouse to life.

The exhibition will be on view Saturday, April 29th and Sunday, April 30th, from 11am until 6pm.
