ESCADA announces Niall Sloan as their new Global Design Director

ESCADA has appointed Niall Sloan as its new Global Design Director, effective 1st of August 2017.

Niall joins ESCADA from Hunter where he has held the position of Global Design Director for the last four years. Before this, he worked closely with Christopher Bailey during his 10 years at Burberry.
Niall played an important role in transforming the future of the heritage brand, working across many areas including accessories, eyewear, watches and jewellery. The last position he held at Burberry was as head of the women’s Prorsum team for three years including all shows, pre-collections and VIP dressing.

Iris Epple-Righi, CEO of ESCADA, said : “Niall is a great creative talent who has the ideal experience, energy and vision to reinterpret the legacy of the brand in a relevant and contemporary way. His 10 years in luxury at Burberry combined with his recent experience at Hunter is a perfect fit for how to develop ESCADA. His unique experience across multiple areas including apparel , accessories, footwear and VIP dressing is also very relevant for us. We’re excited to have him on our team.”

Commenting on his new position, Niall said, “ESCADA is a brand I have been fond of for many years. Its heritage is fun, bold and feminine with a strong point of view in luxury womenswear. I’m very excited to be a part of reshaping its future and can’t wait to get started. "
Niall will start work with the team on Fall collection 2018 with his first collection being Resort 2019.
