La Triennale di Milano pays homage to the genius visionary of Rick Owens with an exhibition from 15 December to 25 March 2018, on the occasion of the two fashion weeks dedicated to womenswear and menswear. For the first time his fashion creations will enter into dialogue with his furniture collection.

Named “Rick Owens. Subhuman inhuman superhuman”, the retrospective celebrates the creative universe of the designer. The spaces will be transformed into a journey marked by two decades of activity and creativity: a selection of clothing, objects, accessories, furniture, photos and moving images will be exposed and connected through a site-specific installation created ad hoc.
After the latest exhibition at the Moca-Museum of contemporary art’s Pacific design center in Los Angeles, which focused exclusively on Owens furniture design (realized together with his wife Michèle Lamy), the new exhibition at the Milan’s Triennale represents a tribute to his heterogeneous visual language and his career.

During Milan Design Week in April, the American designer also unveiled his first book published by Rizzoli New York and dedicated to his passion for homewear.
