The MAXXI, signed by the English-Iraqi architect Zaha Hadid, raises itself in the district of Flaminio.

Galleries of permanent exhibition (collection of art of the XXth century with a good representation of the Italian art), temporary showrooms, but also library, center of archives and documentation, the MAXXI wants a place of broadcasting as much as research and experiment.

The opening to the public of this museum is planned for May, 2010.
