Paris Photo is held in Paris' historical Grand Palais from 7th to 10th November 2019 hosting over 200 galleries, including Galerie Nathalie Obadia, Templon gallery, and Xippas gallery.

For its 23nd edition, Paris Photo presents at the Grand Palais over 200 exhibitors divided into five sectors. Main sector galleries present a complete panorama of artworks with a special emphasis on solo, duo shows, and thematic projects offering visitors the opportunity to discover and rediscover leading artists through the viewing of important artistic ensemble. The PRISMES sector brings together galleries showcasing large-format, series, and installation projects exploring the photographic medium in its most diverse forms and practices. The Book sector brings together specialised publishers and art book dealers from across the world highlighting the important role of the photobook in the history of the medium and in the creative process. The Film sector highlights the relationship between still and moving images in artistic creation with a selection of artist film and video screenings by Paris Photo exhibitors.
Fifth and last, the Curiosa sector. Curated by Osei Bonsu (British-Ghanaian curator and writer), this year’s theme addresses photography’s increasingly unstable relationship to the physical world. The selection will illuminate the multiple realities of human experience while drawing attention to the non-visible in thoughtful and innovative ways.

The Paris Photo Platform is an experimental forum that each day opens with a focus on the theme of the collection led by invited collectors followed by a series of conversations following different axes.

Furthermore, for the Carte Blanche Students 2019, Paris Photo, Picto Foundation, and SNCF Gares & Connexions, for the 3rd year, partner to launch a platform in promotion of the discovery and exposure of outstanding young talent within masters or bachelor programs in European schools for photography and the visual arts. Four student projects, selected by a jury, will be presented in a large format exhibition in Paris Gare du Nord train station (Oct. 15 – End of Nov) and in a dedicated space at Paris Photo.
