Paris: Fotofever 2019

The 8th edition of Fotofever welcomes you at the Carrousel du Louvre from 8 to 10 November 2019.

With an inspiring program for an international audience, more than 200 artists, (100 galleries and publishers from 20 countries} are gathered for this new edition; including over 40 solo shows notably in the dedicated section The Hive. Once again, fotofever confirms its commitment towards living artists and offers collectors, art professionals and the public the opportunity to acquire works from an novel, accessible yet exacting selection.

This year more than ever women are honored in the heart of the city of light! With 92 women artists out of 184 artists presented, fotofever is undoubtedly the first contemporary art fair to achieve this objective.

Fotofever 2019 also welcomes a selection of French and international publishers presenting a wide array of books. For the first time, the Parisian bookseller La Comète will be present with a pop up bookstore with publications highlighting the French scene, women photographers and the history of photography.

Moreover, the Collector's Apartment, a flagship initiative of fotofever located at the entrance of the fair, showcases a selection of photographs designed by Yuki Baumgarten, artistic director of fotofever. The space is scenographed around 6 themes: France, Women, Nature, Architecture, Time. The 2019 winners of the fotofever prize - Rose Lecat, Julia Amarger and Alain Polo Nzuzi - will be exhibited for the first time at fotofever paris 2019, in a dedicated section of the Collector's Appartment.

fotofever is also associated to the Prix L'Obs pour Les Femmes s'exposent, whose 2019 winner Andrea Olga Mantovani will be exhibited at the fair. Fotofever created for Eberhard & Co, a Swiss watchmaking manufucture, the Eberhard Award around the theme of Time. The prize that is exclusively intended for artists whose works are exhibited at the 8th edition of fotofever.

Lastly, on occasion of the 180th anniversary of the invention of photography, fotofever unveils the boldness and creativity of the French scene.
