Sciences Po contemporary art award

The Sciences Po prize for contemporary art will award a prize every year, from 2010, to a young artist working in France.

This award propose a different vision : the the point of view of a Politics school who wants to organize a demonstration in Art.

The Sciences Po award for contemporary art have a double purpose : to encourage new artists and gather through art students and professionals of business, politics and culture.

The jury of the first edition will be composed of : Laurence Bertrand Dorléac (Art historian, Professor at Sciences Po qnd director of research deparment of Arts and Society), Grégoire Billault (vice-président of Sotheby’s France, manager of the contemporary art department), Antoine de Galbert (collector, founder of the Maison Rouge), Olivier Kaeppelin ( director of renovation plan of the west wing of Palais de Tokyo), Emmanuel Perrotin, Xavier Veilhan.

The works of ten artists :
Les oeuvres des dix artistes: Guillaume Bresson, Benjamin Bruneau, Gregory Derenne, Céline Granier de Cassagnac, Xie Lei, Eva Nielsen, Florian et Michael Quistrebert, Raphaelle Ricol, Emilie Satre, Matthieu Weil will be exihibit at Sciences Po, from {{monday 3th till wednesday 12th of may 2010, in the main hall at 28, rue des Saints Pères (75007)

The preview will set on thursday may 6 from 7 p.m.. For this occasion the jury will award the winner for 2010.
