One of the most famous hotels in Shangai, the Peace Hotel, will house a contemporary art center.

The Swatch Art Peace Hotell is reconstructed on a unique concept, combining a retail environment and a hotel exclusively for guest artists from around the world, including China.
As guests of the Swatch Group they will live and work in homes with an integrated artist studio.
The only contribution that the Group will ask to artists is to choose among the works they created in Sanghai and bequeath to the Swatch Art Peace Hotel, in such a way that can join the permanent collection, that will regularly presented to the public.

The opening of the commercial area is planned for May 2010 and the official opening of the hotel will take place in August 2010.
