The creation of the Museo del Design ltallano has been advocated by Stefano Boeri, President of Triennale Mllano, and is the result of the input from an advisory committee that brings together some of the top names in the world of ltalian design and architecture: Paola Antonelll, Andrea Branzl, Mario Bellini, Antonio Citterio, Michele De Lucchi, Piero Lissoni, Claudio Luti, Fabio Novembre, and Patricia Urqulola. A special committee will also be set up for the acquisitions that, over the comlng years, will expand the Triennale Collection.

The museum will be located in the curved space on the ground floor of the Palazzo dell'Arte and the display Installation will be designed to show off the works to their best advantage. They will be ln chronologlcal order, with Information about the history of each one and the context in which it was designed, with many previously unexhibited materials from the Triennale Archives, including photographs, advertising campaigns, and original packaging. ln some cases, the items will be shown together with the wooden models made by Giovanni Secchi - on loan to the Triennale from Lombardy Region - to illustrate the evolutlon of the design, from the study and development stage through to its creatlon and production.
