Born in 1969 in Lebanon, Joana Hadjithomas and Khalil Joreige spend their time between Beirut and Paris. Through works combining fiction, documentary, photography, texts and installations, these filmmakers and visual artists offer an alternative reading of history, war and its consequences, and of political violence, by forging profound ties between reality and fiction.

The exhibition at the Jeu de Paume offers an insight into the ensemble of their artistic and cinematic projects from the late 1990s to the current day, and also presents a new video work, especially created for the Jeu de Paume.
