Eye for Design highlights the unique history and vision of the Museum of Arts and Design (MAD) through the strikingly beautiful and creatively designed catalogues the Museum produced between the 1950s and 1970s.
Designed by many American and international graphic artists, including Emil Antonucci, John J. Reiss, and Linda Hinrichs, these catalogues and other exhibition-related printed ephemera illuminate an underappreciated aspect of twentieth-century graphic design history, and showcase MAD’s place in the innovative New York design community of the period.
