Photographer and film-maker Valérie Jouve, (born 1964 in Saint-Étienne) belongs to the new generation of artists in France, those who have departed from the great humanist tradition of photo reportage, without however completely rejecting its useful and essential elements.

The exhibition presents a vast selection of works from the end of the 1980s to today. Her films and photos can be considered as contemporary art, but just as easily as belonging to the fields of anthropology, sociology and representations of our world today. The exhibition layout aims to show how the artist explores the limits of photography as a representative medium. {{Valérie Jouve opposes static images and films where movement, rhythm and speed allow the spectator to discover a specific location: Grand Littoral in Marseille, Time is working aroundRotterdam, and Guatemala with her latest piece produced for this exhibition.
