60 years of design history in Essen – from "Industrieform" to Red Dot

The exhibition "Enduring, not ultimate form" places a spotlight on the rich history of the Design Zentrum Nordrhein Westfalen. It is the first joint project of the Ruhr Museum and Red Dot Design Museum Essen, the two major museums on the Zollverein UNESCO World Heritage Site.

From 29 June to 23 August 2015, visitors can experience the history of award-winning design – from "Industrieform" to Red Dot. The exhibition combines current with historical exhibits and reconstructs highlights from past presentations. Posters and photographs from 60 years of design history will be displayed alongside with eyewitness accounts.
