Joan Miró exhibited at 13 rue de Téhéran from 1949 until his death in 1983. Galerie Lelong has published many of his prints and still represents his estate today.

From the 1930s, Miró was fascinated by printing techniques, both lithography and etching, and some rare works in black and white printed in the Lacourière studio in Paris are on display in the exhibition. From the 1950s, then particularly in the 60s and 70s, Miró would go on to develop dark graphics accompanied by bold, bright colours. Some of the large-format works of this period will be on display. They will be hanging on the walls of the bookshop alongside some of the artist’s etchings, published after his death. These have a stamped version of Miró’s signature and are authenticated on the reverse by his estate, signed by his grandson, Emili
