The Soulages museum in Rodez, in the south of France, has already hosted many great figures such as the Japanese group Gutai, Le Corbusier, Picasso or Alexander Calder. From now on, it is the turn of Yves Klein and his monochrome work, to invest the walls of the museum. The artist became famous from its first artistic events in the 1950s, especially with the famous Exhibition du Vide May 12, 1958 where the artist presents an anti-exhibition: a gallery deserted by his works. This radical practice, not devoid of poetry, is found in his monochrome canvases; as with Pierre Soulages, who paints with the same audacity fully black canvases.
