This exhibition, based on the themes of Frank Gehry and the Fondation architecture project, reviews the entire process by which Gehry created the concept of the Fondation as a “grand sailing ship symbolizing France’s deep sense of cultural mission”, from the first sketches to the completed building.

Through architectural models as well as videos showing the diverse range of state-of-the-art technologies used through the completion of the building, it provides an overview of the entire project, which is celebrating the first anniversary of its completion. Also featured are exterior views filmed using drones, and the artistic activities in which the Fondation has already played a pivotal role. All of these elements are combined into a single installation, taking maximum advantage of the brightly lit space and structure of Espace Louis Vuitton Tokyo.
