STORY MOEVA was co-founded by three inspiring women: Damla Zirh, Yagmur Zirh, and Burcu Togay; when Damla and Yagmur were studying Business Management & Economics in Regent’s University and Burcu was studying Design in Central Saint Martins College of Art & Design. The idea of MOEVA raised when the young ladies were in search for the right swimwear to make them feel beautiful, unique and confident in and out of water. Despite the long search they couldn’t find what they were looking for, and that encouraged them to build their own brand. They started working on base whilst studying in London. The idea of the name of Moeva came out during the first stages of the creation of the brand. Burcu, Damla and Yagmur were in search of a name which could personify the idea of a woman, who is both strong and elegant; their main inspiration. “Mo” comes from a Far Eastern expression which stands for brave and powerful and “Eva” as the first woman to ever meet the face of the planet Earth. This words combined not only emphasize the courage and the power of the women, but also the attitude of the brand. Burcu Togay, with her strong eye for detail and geometry, designs timeless swimwear for women to embrace their own femininity, elegance and confidence. Damla and Yagmur Zirh, with their solid knowledge of the industry are the head of MOEVA, managing the financial and marketing sides of the brand and maintains Moeva as a strong and remarkable brand. In the lead of the three women, the brand rapidly grows with the assistance of creative, intelligent and innovate team members who constantly work on innovative marketing strategies, various product concepts, and good quality of service-oriented attitude.
