An experimental, innovative view to create a frame for contemporary style. The thing that continues to stimulate us, providing us with a variety of inspirations, that same voracious contemporary feel, is the creative palette of Paul Easterlin; a frenetic contamination that uses contrasts to create a space that is almost intimate, in which to protect one's own identity. HURRY UP, WE’RE DREAMING. PAUL EASTERLIN WAITING FOR THE PLANET TO TURN TOWARDS US. DREAMED IN LOCKDOWN, HANDCRAFTED IN ITALY. Created during lockdown, SOUK EYE SNEAKERS is a complex take and a piece of “poorly viewed” footwear, as the designer calls it, since it is created by cutting iconic sneakers and reassembling them in an apparently casual manner. But there is no compromise when it comes to style or technique: the uniqueness of this footwear is the result of years of study and complex prototyping processes. The result is an innovative assembly technique that uses two di erent footwear models cut in half. Souk Eye: the careful eye that is able to distinguish the uniqueness of a product and the idea behind it from the many, many pieces on show in a warren-like souk . The solid base, featuring master craftsmanship and materials of the highest level, is layered with bursts of anti-conformism and disassociation, contemporary tensions, and emotions that characterise the personality of the person who wears these iconic sneakers by designer Paul Easterlin. The inspiration and the theme running through the design is contamination: a kind of hybridisation that comes from activating conceptually de ined surfaces, clashing with other, apparently neutral materials that seem impossible to match.
