“REBORN” Ready Couture Fall-Winter 2019 collection Encompassing creativity, intuition and innovation, Viola Ambree F/W 2019 Ready Couture offers ultra sophisticated and contemporary pieces reviving old sartorial techniques, rich in pastel colours, cuts and reflections. The mood alternates between the present day and a noble ancestral civilization, between poetry and futurism, between strong shapes and delicate ornaments. The pieces recall warriors armor costumes, figurative engraving, inked landscapes and melancholy of bold establishments. This collection represents a personal diary of a girl who grew up in SSSR collectivization with firm and austere stamp on everyday life; a girl with plenty of fantasy who managed to make her world more gentle and beautiful by adding colour and imaginary ornaments when she would have closed her eyes. The story draws direct influence from the ancestral civilization in Sarmatia, descendants from Scythians and Amazon tribes; reflecting the Sarmatian-style Karacena armor with rich embroideries and fabric manipulations. The male garment, Zupan will be the base of construction for most of the dresses and jackets reinforced by underlining and tailoring techniques. The designer is blending traditional couture techniques in slim and sculptural, modern shapes. The bonded bomber jackets and high-waisted slim trousers will give a youth effect to a couture collection. As a constant need for a hope, new life and liberation of any margins and constrictions, the final chapter is dedicated to a REBORN, also the name of the collection, a story told through Faberge eggs and the art of their making. This part is seen through cocoon shaped outwear and bold, bejeweled dresses in shades of lavender, misty blue and sunset gold. Juxtaposition of different fabrics of highest quality of silks and jacquards gives it a pure and timeless appeal. Accessories like embroidered ankle boots and briefcase inspired handbags are complementing the collection.
