www.galerie-obadia.comLocated in Paris and Brussels, Galerie Nathalie Obadia represents internationally renowned artists such as Rina Banerjee, Luc Delahaye, Fiona Rae, Sarkis, and Martin Barré.
From its earliest days in 1993 the gallery has worked to promote a new generation of French artists including Carole Benzaken (Prix Marcel Duchamp 2004) and Pascal Pinaud, and over the years has added more established figures like Shirley Jaffe and Albert Oehlen, soon joining the front rank of European galleries.
In the late 1990s the gallery organised the first solo exhibitions in France by artists who are now recognised worldwide, notably Lorna Simpson and Enoc Perez, and resolutely affirmed is artistic choices and intuitions on the international art scene. The gallery’s engagement and work alongside critics and curators has seen a number of its artists exhibit in important cultural institutions, recent examples being Joana Vasconcelos at the Château de Versailles, Rina Banerjee at the Musée Guimet, Jessica Stockholder at the Musée d’Art Contemporain in St Étienne, Youssef Nabil at the Maison Européenne de la Photographie, Paris, and Lorna Simpson at Jeu de Paume in 2013.
After Agnès Varda and Sarkis in 2010, last year saw the arrival of Iranian artists Ramin Haerizadeh and Rokni Haerizadeh swell the gallery’s roster of artists, which also includes Huma Bhabha, Guillaume Bresson, Rosson Crow, Michael DeLucia, Patrick Faigenbaum, Thomas Lerooy, Frank Nitsche, Chloe Piene, and Nicola Tyson. Galerie Nathalie Obadia is honoured to support its artists in their work and career.
Galerie Nathalie Obadia Paris/Brussels is a regular participant in numerous fairs: FIAC (Paris), The Armory Show (New York), Art Dubai (Dubai), ArtForum (Berlin) Frieze (London), Art Brussels (Brussels), Art HK (Hong Kong), Art Basel (Basel).
