The DRAWING NOW Art Fair is the leading contemporary art fair in Europe dedicated to drawing, and the first to have dedicated an entire fair to the contemporary medium.

Christine Phal, the President and Founder, created the fair in 2007. Every year in March, the international benchmark event hosts more than 70 international galleries that are selected by an independent committee of art professionals. Exhibitors present over 400 artists and nearly 2,000 artworks that show the diversity of drawing from the past 50 years up through today. Both collectors and art enthusiasts are invited to discover works by emerging and more established artists.

The Fair’s team, headed by the director Carine Tissot and accompanied by the artistic director Joana P.R. Neves, prepare year-round a rich and varied program for springtime, so they can share their passion as widely as possible.

Manifesta is the European Nomadic Biennial, which originated in the early 1990s in response to the political, economic, and social change following the end of the Cold War and the subsequent steps towards European integration. Manifesta has developed into a platform for dialogue between art and society by inviting the cultural and artistic community to produce new creative experiences with, and for, the context in which it takes place. Manifesta rethinks the relations between culture and society investigating and catalysing positive social change in Europe through contemporary culture in a continuous dialogue with the social sphere of a specific place.

With over 110 French and international galleries, the Lille contemporary art fair has become a “must” vote in for its diversity and the quality of the offer presented. Art Up! is a federative event attended by over 40,000 visitors, collectors, buyers and enlightened amateurs.

After a 2019 edition focusing on the art of photography, the Art Up! team has selected a new theme for the forthcoming edition: “The thread of art: how textile art, once solely intertwined with tapestry, has now become an art of the future?”. Moreover, many key moments punctuate this edition particularly with the exhibition « Revelation by Art Up! » which gives pride of place to young artists from the regions art schools. Such as the Art Night, that gives to the artists the freedom to express themselves with many live performances.
