Sapato.ru is a pioneer of online shoe commerce in Russia launched in June 2010 despite many skeptical comments that were so common when the Sapato.ru team first set foot in GDS, MICAM and Premiere Classe exhibitions trying to convince potential European partners that the Russian market is ready for such an unusual offer.

More than a year passed and now Sapato.ru can say that has set a new trend in Russian ecommerce. If only 12 months ago there was nobody who offered shoes online in Russia, now there appeared some followers inspired by the first achievements of Sapato.ru.

So, the first results turned out to be so promising that some premium and luxury brands did not hesitate much to give their approval for SapatoLuxe section which was launched early Fall 2011. And they are absolutely far-sighted as apart from world-known Russian shopping appetite, the e-commerce market in Russia in comparison to Europe is still in its infancy, each year there is impressive growth of new users, thus, new clients.
