This exhibition, from September 5th to 23rd, pays homage to the work of interior designers. Fifteen talents each create a living room scenario that illustrates their skills as much as their style. The exhibition is an essential place for trendsetters in the fields of architecture and interior design. The Hôtel de la Bûcherie welcomes the 2018 AD Interieurs exhibition in this historically philanthropic site where the Compagnie de Phalsbourg will open the Compagnie des Philanthropes in early 2019 as a unique meeting place for sponsors. The concept draws its strength from the experiences of Karine and Philippe Journo, patrons who focus on renovating historical heritage sites and making culture more democratic.

Following FAIRE 2017, which was devoted to architectural experimentation, this new season of the program FAIRE seeks to disrupt the current system for producing urban objects by accelerating and financing a small series of prototypes selected by a jury of experts based on the vision, values, and solutions proposed in the projects. Out of 261 projects submitted by designers, architects, collectives, startups, well-known designers, and design school students, the jury, composed of a large panel of experts and presided over by Jean-Louis Missika, selected 12 finalists. From rocks sculpted from stone from the Ile de France to multi-support furniture with plant protection, a climate bank that uses air from quarries, a façade water tank, a cooling vent, an unusual installation for children, research and experiments on cycling habits, metropolitan signage to make Grand Paris a part of Paris, FAIRE is accelerating 12 projects that explore and question usages of and strategies for public space in Paris.

RBC Paris presents “Skillful Reflections” at the LAB of the RBC Paris Showroom. From September 4th to November 23rd 2018, RBC Paris sheds light on a selection of the most beautiful pieces from Italian architect, sculptor and designer Angelo Mangiarotti under the creative direction of Camilla Benedini in partnership with the Italian furniture editor Agapecasa. The exhibition is illustrated through the double meaning of the word “Reflection”: the process of reflection in its actual sense (of light on a mirror) and the designer’s thoughts, approach and creative process. The use of giant mirrors reflect Angelo Mangiarotti’s sculptural and aesthetic work. Each unique handmade piece is reproduced in marble or precious woods according to the Italian Maestro’s original designs. Practical information: “Angelo Mangiarotti: Skillful Reflections” exhibition from September 4th to November 23rd, 2018. Free entrance Monday to Friday from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm. Open the evening of September 7th until 9:00 pm.
